Do you work on original 1950s bathrooms?
Yes. We check the tile, the grout and the wall behind it. If the tile is bonded and the wall is dry, we can regrout and repair it. If the mortar bed is soft or the tile is hollow across large areas, we tell you and show you.
Can you regrout instead of retiling?
Often, yes. If the tile is solid and the problem is cracked or dirty grout, regrouting is a sensible fix. If water is getting behind the tile, regrouting will not stop it.
How long does a shower take?
It depends on the size, the prep and the system. Waterproofing, thinset and grout each need time to cure, so a shower is built in stages. We give you a schedule once we have seen the room.
Do you move plumbing?
We tile and waterproof. If a valve or drain has to move, a licensed plumber does that, and we coordinate the order of work with them.
Do I get a price before work starts?
Yes. We price from photos or a visit, in writing. We flag anything that could change the price, such as a floor that needs leveling.
